My name is Mrs. Bourgeois,
I am from Texas and attended school at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I moved to Henry County with my wonderful Husband over nearly 15 years ago. We have three amazing children who attend school in the Luella cluster. I homeschooled my children for a few years which vary per child. Then, I joined the school council upon enrolling my children in school for the first time. I learned so much working with the principals, teachers, parents, and community members about the partnerships of the school. We moved to Luella a year later where I was a member of the PTO, PTO President and requested by the principal to be a substitute. As a substitute, I learned how to work with teachers on a professional level, manage classrooms, teach prepared lesson plans, flexibility, and more. I enrolled in Mercer University's Tift College of Education to pursue my degree in education. My much anticipated graduation from Mercer is in the spring. I spend my time supporting my children in their passions, with my family and friends. I also enjoy photography, making cakes, and running to name a few things.
