Welcome to Mrs. Bourgeois' Class 3rd grade!

Welcome to Mrs. Bourgeois' class; we are going to have a very fun and educational year!   We are going to explore, discover, test our theories, and more.  You all will continue to grow as smart, innovative, respectful, and critical thinkers. I look forward to helping you solidify your 3rd grade educational foundation at Tussahaw Elementary School.

Parents, please bookmark this page to refer to throughout the year because it will be updated with information and homework.  

Our class will have weekly communication folders which homework, money, transportation changes, graded papers, and other notes can be sent to the teacher and home.  Parents, please sign their agendas daily and look for updates of important information.  Thank you

Class Dojo will be used to rewards students on their behavior daily.  You can log on to  https://www.classdojo.com/  and/or download the Class Dojo app on your phone.  This year, the third grade teachers are trying a new classroom management tool called Class Dojo.  Class Dojo is a web based program which allows teachers to track students’ behaviors (positive AND negative) easily and efficiently. The program is based on points, and students can be given positive points for things like being on task, being respectful, participating, or working hard. On the other hand, points can be taken away if students are off task, talking out, or unprepared!  I will be certain to add the prizes that we agree upon to the website so that parents can discuss goals and behavior expectations.
